We are two weeks into the new year, and I've been thinking a lot lately about what changes I want to see for my business and blog in 2016. I've been running my own interior design business on-and-off for over seven years, and my goals and vision are constantly evolving. I started blogging in 2014, and this past year I became a certified yoga teacher. As my interests have expanded, my priorities have shifted, and I'm still figuring out the right direction and balance for the future. I'm hoping to expand the blog to feature more great design, as well as more yoga and wellness-related content. While 2016 is still a work in process, I'm resolving to explore more green design and sustainable living solutions to share with you all. I'd love to know what you'd like to see more of on the blog, so feel free to email me with your suggestions. Keep reading to see my business goals for 2016:
Ok, here are my business goals for 2016. I'd love to hear about your resolutions for the year ahead!
1. Focus on More Commercial Design Work
I've been doing both residential and commercial design work for the past few years, and in 2016 I want to focus on more commercial design projects. While I enjoy residential work, my passion lies in hospitality design - restaurants, hotels, nursing homes, wellness centers, offices, lobbies, and more. So spread the word, and let me know if you are in need of commercial interior design services.
2. Blog More About Residential Design and Sustainable Resources
While I'm shifting my business to focus on commercial projects, I still want the blog Ms. Weatherbee to be a resource for interior design lovers of all kinds. I will continue to blog about residential design, share design tips and resources, and explore eco-friendly and sustainable living solutions.
3. Make my Blog a Business
4. Expand the Blog to Feature More Yoga, Lifestyle, and Wellness-Related Content
I completed my yoga teacher training certification in 2015, and it's changed my perspective in so many ways. I've been meeting so many interesting people, and learning about different philosophies and ways of living, and I wanted to share them with you all. I'm hoping to teach more yoga in 2016, and blog more about wellness and sustainability. The modern world is complex and confusing, but we can all make simple changes right now to care for our planet and people, and help establish a brighter future. I'm open to new partnerships and guest posts, so please contact me if you are interested in sharing content!
