Project Description: The clients wanted to upgrade their dated, Formica kitchen with something fresh and clean that would add value to their new home. They were on a tight budget, but wanted to create a kitchen that felt expensive and looked timeless. The cabinets, from IKEA, are warm and inviting – contemporary, but not too sleek. Stainless steel appliances, and cool grey countertops and floors were selected to create a clean and modern atmosphere. A pass-through to the living room brings natural light into the kitchen. Halogen under-cabinet lighting brightens the work surface while Calcutta marble tiles on the backsplash add a touch of charm and elegance.
